Tecopa is also an ideal location for hiking, horseback riding and rock-hounding for semi-precious stones. Wildlife in the area is impressive, and the many trails in and around camp with put you face to face with the amazing flora and fauna of the desert.
When you want to explore the area, be sure and drop in at the China Range Date Farm, a working family farm set in a stunning green oasis with huge cottonwoods, willow trees and date palms. Just five miles north of Tecopa lies Shoshone Village, another great destination that is considered a gateway to Death Valley.
