Located in northern Indiana’s Lake Country, Camp Sack In is a beautiful, amenity-filled seasonal park near US 20 in Angola. Open from April 16th through October 15, the campground offers an online reservation system and has many shaded, peaceful sites for full or partial hook-ups, or tent camping. The clean facilities include a centrally located bath house, a camp store and feature a full calendar of planned events for the entire family to enjoy.
Two ponds sit on the grounds of Camp Sack In, one with a sand beach for swimming and lounging, and another for fishing ¿ no license required, and activities abound at the campsite, including bingo, church services, special planned meals and children’s crafts. For guests who want to be active, a sand volleyball court awaits as well as basketball, horseshoe and shuffleboard courts, putt putt golf and a softball/baseball diamond. For those who want to relax, a picnic pavilion is at the ready, in addition to a hiking trail for leisurely strolls through the woodlands.
This area of northeast Indiana provides many possible excursions for visitors, such as the Pokagon State Park, with astounding landscapes formed by receding glaciers, fishing, saddle horse and cross country ski rentals and hiking trails. The nearby Fun Spot Amusement Park is a family park with roller coasters, dual waterslides, go karts, a Ferris wheel and much more. A tour of the local Satek Winery will educate you in the art of wine-making and a trip to the Shipshewana Flea Market is another great way to spend a day, all within a few miles of your home away from home, Camp Sack In. |
