Topeka, KS 66609

Description:
Surrounded by the scenic prairies of Northeast Kansas, the Capital City RV Park in Topeka is a natural paradise just a short distance from the big city. Only ten minutes from downtown Topeka, the park offers guests a convenient online reservation to plan a stay and select an RV site with long pull-thrus available. A beautiful newly restored barn is the setting of the campground’s recreation hall, meeting facilities, full kitchen, parlor and dining room, as well as a convenience store and game room with billiards, ping pong and more.

Three fishing ponds sit on the ground of the Capital City RV Park near the barn, all well-stocked with catfish, blue gill, black bass and crappie. If fishing isn¿t your thing, take a leisurely stroll along the peaceful walking area, and discover the windmill, antique farm equipment and the picturesque prairie view. For off-site activities, be sure to visit the Topeka Public Golf Course, a challenging par 71 course with water hazards on every hole.

The Combat Air Museum, only four miles from the park, presents meticulously restored world class aircraft, as well as exhibits of aviation history, science, and military aviation. Take lady luck along when you venture out to the Harrah’s Prairie Band Casino in nearby Mayetta, and don’t forget a visit to the Kansas State Capital building in Topeka. The Heartland Park Raceway, with a full calendar of events and the Kansas Museum of History all offer guests of the Capital City RV Park plenty to do without straying too far from the perfect prairie home.
