The main attraction of this region of Kentucky is in the stunning cave systems that wind throughout the area, including the Mammoth Cave, the world’s longest cave system, offering daily tours through the stunning subterranean tunnels. At least eight other caves and caverns are open for tours, with breathtaking stalactites, stalagmites and underground rivers. The area also contains the best of Kentucky antiquing, lake and river fishing, historic sites, canoeing and hiking at parks near Mammoth Cave including the Barren River Lake State Park.

Other nearby destinations include the Beech Bend Raceway and Amusement Park with rides and games for the entire family, and budding paleontologists will love Dinosaur World Park, a museum dedicated to presenting the fascinating creatures in a fun manner, and also has a playground and picnic area. The National Corvette Museum is another unique attraction, with over 60 rare and unique Corvettes dating from 1953 and exhibits containing rare Corvette memorabilia. Located in Bowling Green, the museum sits just across from the world’s only Corvette Assembly Plant, only a short distance from the centrally located Cave Country RV Campground.
