Visitors to the Birdsville Resort and Campground can¿t miss a stop at the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, a 170,000 acre park between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley that is filled with wildlife such as deer and wild turkey and is a popular destination for biking, horseback riding, hunting, fishing and photography. Located on the property of the Land Between the Lakes is The Homeplace -1850, a living history farm which features demonstrations of the life and work of an nineteenth century farm family.
