Surrounded by the picturesque beauty of central Missouri, Countryside RV Park in Sedalia is an amenity packed, full-service campground for adults and seniors. Groups are welcome at the campground, which features a convenient online reservation system to make planning your trip as easy as possible. Open from March 15 through December 1, large RV sites with full hook ups are available, with a resident staff, storm shelter and meeting room on-site.
Plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities abound at Countryside, with excellent fishing, hunting and hiking just a short distance from camp. For water excursions, there are many area outfitters who rent sailboats, pontoon boats and houseboats from which to enjoy the many lakes and river in the vicinity. The Paint Brush Prairie Natural Area provides unforgettable scenery, as the lovely grasses flow in the gentle Missouri breeze.
The town of Sedalia is home to the Missouri State Fair that takes place for ten days each August, and also hosts year-round livestock shows, sporting events, horse and car races at the fairgrounds. The downtown district of Sedalia, settled in 1860, is chock full of antique shops and boutiques as well as the area's first Carnegie Library, which is a stop on the historic walking tour. A tour of the massive stone 'castle', Bothwell Lodge, pays homage to the town's greatest benefactor, John Homer Bothwell and is just another of the wonderful things to do and see while staying at Countryside RV Park. |
