The wide open plains of southeast Montana offer sweeping views from the family owned and operated Grandview Camp and RV Park in Hardin. Situated near I-90, the amenity-packed campground offers convenient online reservations and is a just a short drive from the Little Bighorn National Monument. Open year round with full service only between April 1 and October 31st, RV and tent campsites are available, and guests can relax or play in the swimming pool, kiddie pool, hot tub and tennis courts.
Nearby Bighorn River offers outdoor enthusiasts plenty to do, and is considered to be one of the most productive trout rivers in the entire world. Bighorn Lake is another favorite venue, where visitors can boat, jet ski, water ski, fish and swim. A trip into downtown Hardin reveals a small western town with great restaurants and shopping.
The Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, the site of the devastating battle between hundreds of Native American warriors and 210 U.S. Calvary officers, in which there were no U.S. survivors. The Custer's Last Stand Reenactment, with over 250 participants, is held each June and draws scores of spectators from around the world, as does the Crow Fair, the premier Powwow of Plains Indians that takes place each August. Pompey's Pillar, a 150 foot sandstone butte, contains the name of Captain William Clark carved on the face by the man himself on the return trip of the famous Lewis and Clark Expedition, and is just one of the many historical sites and natural wonders just a stone's throw from the Grandview Camp and RV Park. |
