Another memorable excursion is to the Ice Cave and Bandera Volcano, two trails within close proximity of each other, one leading to a 31-degree ice cave with a floor of ice 20 feet thick, the other to the volcano which erupted over 10,000 years ago, leaving lava trails as far as 23 miles away.
