On the shores of sparkling Lake Hartwell near Townville, with easy access from I-85 in western South Carolina, the campground is within a two hour drive of both Atlanta and Charlotte, making it the perfect stopover for travelers. The 62 acre facility offers guests plenty to do in a family-friendly environment including swimming in the large pool and in the kiddie pool, a nine-hole mini golf course, tennis and basketball courts and more.
An on-site boat launch and dock allows easy access to the dazzling waters of Lake Hartwell, which provides great fishing and opportunities for recreation on the water. Fish from the shore, or cast off in one of the campground's rental pontoons or Jon boats, gas included. The terraced, tree-covered campsites have plenty of room for large RVs, tent camping and there are eight cozy rental cabins from which to choose.
Nearby Anderson has a historic downtown district for an off-site excursion, with many buildings dating from the 1800s, and plenty of unique shops and fine eateries to visit. The Anderson County Museum, also in Anderson, features collections and exhibits that illustrate the rich history of the region, and the Anderson County Arts Center and Warehouse houses a stunning gallery of artwork by local, regional and national artists. All of these attractions are a short drive from Lake Hartwell Camping and Cabins, a first class facility surrounded by the beauty of western South Carolina. |
