Rocky Hollow Horse Camp in Troutdale, Virginia, 30 miles south of I-81, sits on 60 acres of horse country land just under the shoulder of the highest mountain in the state. This is the perfect place for trail-riding families to camp, ride and enjoy the beauty of the Mt. Rogers National Recreation Area. You can reserve your campsite or the cabin online and plan for a fantastic vacation.
The mountain atmosphere at our camp sites is serene and quiet. Our Greene Cabin is very private with large sleeping areas, a screen porch and small creek babbling by. We have horse stalls, trailers and picket lines on our site. You can ride directly from Camp Road at our camp onto the national forest to access the many trails that offer memorable rides.
Take a short ride from Rocky Hollow Horse Camp and discover some of the most popular sites in Mt. Rogers National Recreation Area. You can visit on horseback The Scales on Pine Mountain, Rhododendron Gap and the top of Mt. Rogers and the First, Second and Third peaks. The area is resplendent with streams, waterfalls and the entire panorama of nature¿s handiwork and this will truly be a vacation to remember. |
