Great Guacamole

Great Guacamole

There is nothing better to serve as an appetizer than homemade guacamole. Even people who don't like a nice fresh avocado still like homemade guacamole. Not only is guacamole delicious, but it is also extremely simple to make.

You will need:
3 avocados
3-4 tomatoes
1 medium sweet onion
1-2 fresh lemons
salt & pepper

When you purchase the ingredients for your guacamole the first thing is to make sure that all of your produce is as fresh as possible. Your avocados should be ripe, but not overripe. You don't want them to be too soft. Make sure that you get nice fresh tomatoes and lemons, and be sure to get a sweet onion. Walla Walla onions are a good choice for your sweet onion.

To begin to make your guacamole, seed the tomatoes and finely dice them. Dice the onions as well. Peel and seed your avocados, place them in a bowl. Then, smash the avocados with a fork. You can make your guacamole as chunky or as smooth as you like. After your avocados are smashed, stir in the tomatoes and onions. Finally, add lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste.

Serve with tortilla chips, chopped vegetables, as a side for Mexican dishes and more.
