 Gladstone:
Peninsula Point Lighthouse Park, Hiawatha National Forest
, (bird watching, lighthouse. Head north into the forest for hiking, biking, canoeing, fishing). From Gladstone, take US 2 east, then CR 513 or CR 511 south. 906-474-6442

Paradise:
Tahquamenon State Park
, (waterfall viewing, canoeing, boating, hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing, snowshoeing, fall color). Take SR 123 west of Paradise, about 8.5 miles. 800-44-PARKS

Munising:
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
, (40 miles of colored sandstone bluffs and Grand Sable dunes. Kayaking, hiking, nature center, waterfall viewing, boating, fishing, biking). Try Twelvemile Beach, Little Beaver Lake, or Chapel Beach. From Munising, take H 58 north to the Information Center and into the park. 906-387-3700
