The great plains roll across Nebraska’s panhandle. In a land that was once covered in prairie grasses, you’ll now find farm fields, towns, and lakes. View the magnificent badlands and bluffs of Scotts Bluff, and walk along the old Oregon Trail, watching for deer, foxes, badgers, skunks, and prairie dogs. At Crescent Lake, you’ll see the largest continuous sand dunes in the country. Fish for perch and walleye, or look for bald eagles, geese, herons, and falcons.
