Where four corners meet and the San Juan and Chaco rivers flow, you’ll find a rugged land brimming with striking landmarks and ancient ruins. In the heart of the Navajo Nation stands Ship Rock, the famous landform which is all that remains of a volcano that exploded some 30 millions years ago. The well-preserved historical ruins at Chaco Canyon date back to 850 AD. The region is home to the Navajos, the Jicarilla Apache Nation, and the Laguna, Zuni, and Acoma Indian Pueblos.
