Arkansas Headwaters State Recreation Area
Arkansas Headwaters is one of the best destinations in the country for whitewater rafting and whitewater kayaking. The Arkansas River has a wide range of rapids ranging from Class II to Class V. Visitors can enjoy all different types of rafting and kayaking opportunities and the river is great for beginners and experts alike. This park is also a wonderful destination for fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, biking, rock climbing and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Eleven Mile State Park
This park is known for its large reservoir and the great fishing found on the reservoir. Visitors can catch a variety of trout in the reservoir. Eleven Mile State Park is also great for hiking and biking, as well as bird and wildlife watching. Visitors will especially enjoy the water sports within this park including windsurfing, sailing, ice boating in the winter, kayaking, canoeing and much more.

Golden Gate Canyon State Park
Golden Gate Canyon State Park is located near the big city of Denver, but it is a wonderful spot to enjoy the beauty of Colorado. This park features forest, peaks, meadows and more. While exploring this park visitors can enjoy hiking, biking, fishing and plenty of winter sports as well. The scenic overlook at this park is also amazing.

Mueller State Park
Mueller State Park has 55 miles of trails, making it a wonderful hiking, biking and backcountry destination. Visitors will find that it is an amazing wildlife watching destination as well, here visitors can see elk, bears, deer and much more. The parks Visitor Center is also a wonderful destination where travelers can enjoy views and learn about the environment and wildlife of the park.

Navajo State Park
Visitors to this state park have a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Navajo Reservoir. This giant reservoir is an excellent destination for boaters of all kinds, and there are even slip and mooring ball rentals available. In addition visitors can also enjoy amping, fishing and much more. Navajo State Park is also great for wildlife watching as well as winter activities including snowshoeing, boating and sledding.

Pearl Lake State Park
Located in the mountains north of Steamboat Springs, Pearl Lake State Park is a wonderful destination for a vacation. Visitors can enjoy staying at the yurts in the park while enjoying lots of recreation. Pearl Lake is a good spot to enjoy fishing, including fly fishing. In addition the acres of National Forest surrounding the park make if a great spot to enjoy plenty of hiking, and even winter activities as well.

Rifle Falls State Park
This park is known for its beautiful waterfalls and amazing vegetation. Visitors can enjoy viewing the stunning triple waterfall and exploring the limestone caves beneath the falls. In addition this campground is a wonderful spot to enjoy camping and hold events. The scenery is stunning and visitors will have a fantastic time exploring the beauty of the park.

Roxborough State Park
Roxborough is know for its wonderful geological formations. Just a short trip from Denver this park is a wonderful destination to enjoy hiking and some of Colorado's geologic wonders. The park is filled with red-rock formations and visitors can enjoy these formations while hiking on the many trails. There are hiking options for hikers of all skill level and all visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the rock formations as well as the wildlife and more.

Steamboat Lake State Park
This Rocky Mountain park is a fantastic Colorado park throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy all types of lake recreation including boating, fishing and more. In addition the park is a fantastic winter destination. This park has great options for snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and even ice fishing.

Sylvan Lake State Park
Sylvan Lake State Park is a perfect park for a relaxing getaway. Visitors can enjoy plenty of recreation including hiking, fishing, boating and snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and more during the winter. Visitors can enjoy the serenity of the park, which only allows non-motorized boating and non-electrical camping.
