From the golden sands of the Apostle Islands, to the deep maple, spruce, and birch forests of Chequamegon, you’ll find plenty to explore in Indian Head. Fish the more than twenty Apostle Islands for lake trout and whitefish or watch the skies for hawks, falcons, and migrating shorebirds. Deer and black bears roam the woods, as do beavers, foxes, and snowshoe hares. Spend a day hiking or picking berries in the forest, then canoe down the rushing Chippewa and Namekagon Rivers.
