Moon Lake Community and Campground, located approximately eight miles east of Lansing, on Colby Lake in Laingsburg, offers family friendly camping in the state of Michigan. With a 34-acre lake, prime fishing spots, and plenty of barbeque grills to cook the day's catch on, you'll want to either bring your own boat, or at least your fishing gear. Open year-round, Moon Lake Community and Campground offers a little bit of both worlds. Cold weather camping features heated restrooms, ice fishing, and a snowplow on hand to keep your campsite accessible, as well as summertime fun in the form of swimming and fishing, boat and canoe rentals, beach volleyball, 1/2 court basketball, grills, picnic area, horseshoes, and a playground. Groups are welcome, as are pets.
Located just 25 minutes from the state capital, Moon Lake Community and Campground campers can always find interesting sightseeing in the town of Lansing. Entertainment can be found at the Lake Lansing Band Shell and Abrams Planetarium, and nature trails for hiking at the Fenner Nature Center. Other interesting area sites include the Michigan Women's Historical Center and Hall of Fame, and the Michigan State Capital Complex. |
