NORTHERN

Eighty percent of Utah's population lives along the Wasatch front and the reason is plain. Twin mountain ranges, the Wasatch and the Oquirrh, border Salt Lake City, making its edges shine year-round. Ski resorts dot the Wasatch front, while north of the city lies the Great Salt Lake -- saltier than any ocean. To the west lies the barren Bonneville Salt Flats, sight of the fastest land-speed times ever recorded. Salt Lake City is the world headquarters of the Mormon Church, also called LDS or Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is also home to the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
