Kalkaska RV Park and Campground
580 M-72 SE
Kalkaska, MI 49646
(231)258-9863
Description:
Northwest Michigan has it all, from dense forests to towering sand dunes to rambling vineyards, and the Kalkaska RV Park and Campground is in the heart of it all, just 23 miles east of Traverse City on M-72. Online reservations make planning your trip as easy as pie (Michigan cherry, of course) and the large RV sites, rustic tent campsites and available cabin rentals make the perfect home away from home. With twenty acres of biking and hiking trails, a pristine heated pool and an outdoor pavilion for large groups, the campground has all the amenities needed, and is just a short distance from fabulous area attractions.

Open year-round, the campground is the perfect base camp for boating and fishing on the region's many lakes, as well as morel mushroom hunting in the springtime. In the fall, the towering forests turn brilliant shades of gold, red and orange and turn an ordinary car trip into a scenic drive, you might even stop by one of the many Michigan wineries for a day of touring and tasting in a breathtaking setting. Winter activities near the campground revolve around snowmobiling, with several trailheads nearby, the enjoyable Kalkaska Winterfest to attend and a cozy heated cabin to return to at night.

Nearby Traverse City is a delightful place with lots to do, with an event filled calendar, including the world famous National Cherry Festival in July which features an air show, competitive events, and of course, cherry pie! The Grand Traverse Art Center and Gallery in Traverse City is another great destination, with a permanent collection of artwork by recognized artists as well as changing exhibits of regional and national artists. There is never a dull moment in the northwest Michigan, which make the Kalkaska RV Park and Campground the perfect base camp for a vacation to remember.
