Timber Ridge Resort is the sole privately-owned campground in Traverse City, Michigan. Located in Northwest Michigan, it is near Lake Michigan and sits at the base of East and West Grand Traverse bays and is only 10 miles from downtown Traverse City at highways 31 and 27. It is easy to reserve you campsite or cabin online now and know you will have a great place for your summer vacation.
To make your vacation special we have a heated swimming pool, miles of trails to hike, an 18-hole mini golf course, lighted volleyball courts and numerous outdoor camping games to play. Our lodge is always open for TV viewing, cards and other indoor games, as well as just sitting before a cozy fire. If you choose, take a bike ride, hike, rent one of our bikes or participate in one of our planned activities while you are here.
When you feel the urge to get out and sightsee, one of the first places to go is Michigan Legacy Art Park, in Thompsonville, about a 24-mile drive from Timber Ridge Resort. This special park features 35 larger-than-life works of art by Michigan artists depicting some of the history of our state. In Traverse City, the grownups will enjoy touring and a tasting at Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery. |
