Magical views are around every corner when you visit the Loon Lake Lodge and RV Park, situated on the shores of a pristine lake protected from coastal winds and fog by surrounding tree-covered hills. Easy to find off of State Hwy 38 near I-5 in Reedsport, the campground is only an 18 mile drive for the Pacific Ocean, and offers guests resort-quality facilities in the middle of a breathtaking natural setting. Open year round for RVs and tent camping, the park also has rental cabins, a six room motel and a group camping area perfect for family reunions and easily booked using the online reservation system.
Our sandy beach offers swimming and sunbathing in warmer months, and row boats, canoes and paddleboats can be rented for a day of fun on the water. A short drive to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area provides close contact with the best of the great outdoors, with wind-sculpted sand dunes that rise up to 500 feet above sea level. Off-road vehicle use is permitted, and there are excellent opportunities for hiking, photography, fishing, canoeing and horseback riding.
An off-site excursion to the nearby Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, allows scenic views of the 65 foot structure that towers over lovely Lake Marie. The Umpqua Discovery Center is accessible by a boardwalk along the waterfront and has a 35 foot periscope for a bird's eye view of the area, as well as many interactive exhibits that tell the history of the area.
