Located in the scenic Willamette Valley region of western Oregon, Whitcomb Creek County Park offers breathtaking views as well as comfortable accommodations to its guests. Situated near Hwy 20 in Foster, the 328 acre park offers plenty of campsites on the forested shores of Green Peter Reservoir and is open from mid-April through mid-October. A convenient online reservation system will make planning your trip as easy as possible, and the activities available in and around camp will allow you to experience the best of the American northwest.
Spectacular mountain views surround you as you enjoy sailing, fishing and water skiing on the water, with a boat ramp onto the Reservoir located just a mile from camp. Bring your speed boat, fishing boat and jet skis and enjoy the sparkling waters of this cool mountain lake. Hiking is ideal up in the mountains, where you will come face to face with the stunning flora and fauna of the region on the many trails that wind through the park.
When you are ready to venture off-camp, be sure to visit the Larwood Covered Bridge in nearby Sweet Home, a lovely spot to take some photographs, hike and picnic. The region also hosts some fantastic festivals and events, including the Oregon Jamboree, an open air concert which offers delicious food and beer and wine gardens. The Sportsman's Holiday and Sweet Home Rodeo that takes place each July is another memorable event that has something for everyone. Whether you are visiting to get back to nature or enjoy the many events in the area, or both, the Whitcomb Creek County Park Campground will have you coming back to Foster year after year. |
