Deer Meadow Campground, the largest and most stocked campground in Cook Forest, offers some of the best camping in western central Pennsylvania. Situated in the town of Cooksburg, Deer Meadow Campground, open May 18 through October 14, is located approximately 20 miles north of I-80. The campground's 65 acres crisscross with scenic trails that connect with bordering Cook Forest, also known as the Black Forest, for hiking fun that continues for miles.
With our convenient online reservations system, you can plan your vacation in a matter of minutes and soon be enjoying the amenities Deer Meadow Campground has to offer such as: RV supplies and full hookups, laundry facilities, and a camp store with firewood, propane and ice, as well as other necessities. Fun adventures await the entire family in the picnic area, heated pool, pavilion, game room, and two convenient bath houses. Free cable TV, fire rings, and picnic tables are available for all campers.
In addition to Halloween in August and Christmas in July, Deer Meadow Campground also offers interdenominational church services, hayrides, and other planned activities. Local attractions to keep the adventurous camper occupied include visiting Cook Forest's 6,668 acres of white pine and hemlock, the Kinzua Dam and Bridge State Park, railroad tours, antique and specialty shops, and the Leeper Flea Market. Additional area attractions include canoeing, a deer ranch, horseback riding, the Clarion River Boat Launch, and the Clarion Autumn Leaf Festival. |
