Nestled along the Shenango River, in scenic northwestern Pennsylvania, Shenango Valley RV Park offers its guests a quiet country home away from home. Just north of I-80 off of Hwy 18 in Transfer, the campground, which features a convenient online reservations system, is situated on 60 sloping acres and has plenty of spacious RV and tent sites for you to set up camp. Open seasonally from May 1st through October 15, the park has a large sparkling swimming pool for those hot summer days and miles of hiking and biking trails that wind through the camp.
A perfect place for a family vacation, the campground enjoys close proximity to the Shenango Recreation Area, where visitors can fish from shore or launch a boat on the ramp just ten minutes away. Bird watchers will delight when observing the Great Heron rookery, and maybe even spot a bald eagle from one of two known aeries. The Shenango Trail meanders for eight miles along the Erie Extension Canal and the Shenango River, providing a great place to come face to face with the native plants and animals of northwest Pennsylvania.
Golf enthusiasts will be in heaven when they tee off at one of the dozen championship courses in Mercer County, named as on the 'Top Ten Best Golf Towns in the U.S.A.' in Golf Digest magazine. Besides the golf courses, the area also offers sightseeing and terrific photo opportunities at the Kidds Mill Covered Bridge, two miles from camp and the Old Erie Canal Stone Lock in Sharpsville. There are plenty of other places to see and things to do in the Transfer area, all yours to explore and discover when you stay at Shenango Valley RV Park.
