A friendly staff waits at the resort, as well as two refreshing swimming pools and a hot tub, not to mention the game room and camp store. Beach access is easy with a handicap accessible boardwalk, and fishing from the beach or nearby piers is excellent. A natural birding area at one of Pioneer's ponds gives guests a close up view of ducks, spoonbills, cranes and other native birds.
If you feel like venturing off camp, downtown Port Aransas is the place to go, with many boutiques and fine restaurants at your service and the free Port Aransas Trolley to chauffeur you around. The 18 miles of uncrowded beach on this barrier island is the most popular destination of our guests, with available water recreation such as windsurfing, kiteboarding, parasailing, kayaking, jet-skiing and more. Of course, there's nothing like a leisurely stroll along the shore, collecting unusual shells, enjoying the sun and surf, and returning to your beachside home away from home, Pioneer Beach Resort. |
